【軟體說明】：RealNetworks推出了新的RealPlayer 11版本。支持播放在各種在線媒體視訊，包括Flash,FLV格式或者MOV格式等等，並且在播放過程中能夠錄製視訊。同時還加入了在線視訊的一鍵下載功能到瀏覽器中，支持IE和Firefox，這樣便能夠下載YouTube, MSN，GoogleVideo等等在線視訊到本地硬盤來離線觀看。而且還加入了DVD/VCD視訊刻錄的功能。另外官方聲明中便指出RealPlayer11將對Windows Vista支持不佳，會影響Aero效果等等。

新版的播放界面為黑色，選單欄顯示效果不佳。在瀏覽媒體庫，在線音樂商店，SuperPass(交費用戶可以申請的包月媒體資源)等等的同時，會在播放器的右下角顯示正在播放的視訊縮略圖，同時可以方便的調節媒體播放速度，很是方便。不過在播放視訊時，除了全屏，否則無法隱藏選單和控制欄等等。

瀏覽器在播放在線媒體視訊的時候，鼠標浮向視訊後會在其頂部出現Download ThisVideo的按鈕，能夠一鍵快速保存視訊到本地硬盤，或者選擇下拉選單進行控制。同時RealPlayer還設有下載和刻錄管理器來方便用戶管理。不過下載後的視訊竟然沒有自動添加到媒體庫中，估計還是配合Vista的問題。

它的資源使用控制做得極好，在播放同樣的RMVB視訊時，KMPlayer播放器CPU佔用高達40%，而RealPlayer僅為11%。雖然記憶體佔用比較多，但當今大記憶體的電腦根本不在乎那10幾M了。

新版本的RealPlayer結合了在線視訊的錄製和下載功能，已經緊跟了時代，同時良好的資源佔用控制也體現了本身專業的性能。期待改進的便是界面的臃腫和無法減化播放顯示界面等等細節，但這種期望根本是幻想，因為RealPlayer和Windows Media Player, iTunes等等一樣，打造的是一個集成媒體資源管理和播放功能於一身的播放器。
